Application process
How to become part of Woolworth GmbH:
- Online application – The first step in the application process is submitting your application online. If you’re unsure how to proceed, feel free to take a look at our application tips.
- Selection process – After submitting your application online, you’ll receive a confirmation of receipt by email. We’ll review your application as quickly as possible and get back to you promptly.
- Interview – If the general conditions match, we’ll arrange a personal meeting with you.
- Offer & contract signing – If we mutually convince each other during the interview, you’ll receive an offer and your contract documents.
Tips for your application
Would you like to become part of the team? Then use your application to give us a first impression of who you are. The following application tips will help you prepare in the best possible way:
Your CV:
- List your previous experience in chronological order
- The current date and your signature should not be missing from your CV
- You are welcome to include a photo with your application, but please make sure it is professional – no selfies or vacation snapshots
- Attach (work) references and other relevant documents
The job interview:
- Dress appropriately for the occasion, but in a way that makes you feel comfortable
- Show interest by being well informed and asking questions
- Punctuality is always appreciated
- Don’t be afraid of being nervous – it makes you authentic

Onboarding
With a comprehensive onboarding process, we aim to ensure a smooth and pleasant start in your new job.
First week at work
During your first week at work, you will receive all the necessary information about Woolworth, working in our stores, your workwear, and your onboarding guide.
General questions
To keep the application process as simple as possible, we only need your CV in the first step.

At which locations is Woolworth represented?
If you are interested in multiple positions, you can apply for each one separately. Please note that you must submit your complete application documents for each position.
If you don’t find a suitable position in our job portal, you have the option to submit a speculative application online using the appropriate form.
If you are no longer interested in a position at Woolworth, you can withdraw your application via your applicant profile.

Questions for experienced professionals
You can start working with us from the age of 16 – provided your legal guardians give their consent.
We offer the following working hour models:
- Full-time: 173 hours per month
- Part-time: 78, 104, 130, or 156 hours per month
- Temporary staff: at least 26 hours per month
In consultation with your supervisor, it is possible to switch to a different working hour model during your employment.
If your profile matches the advertised position, you can also start your career with us as a career changer.
Opportunities for advancement within a store role are assessed individually. However, it is possible to progress from Sales Assistant to Store Manager Trainee and ultimately to Store Manager.
Working hours vary within our opening hours from Monday to Saturday. Scheduling is flexible and coordinated with your team, taking your availability into account.
